Rapid City’s south side might have an easier time waking up in the morning thanks to a familiar name opening a new location.
Dunn Brothers Coffee has opened a new café inside of Aspen Federal Credit Union, located at 4956 5th St. The new shop is the second location for the franchise.
Managing Owner of both Rapid City locations, Jesse O’Connor said that the coffee shop is excited to be there. “We are ready to go, ready to rock and roll. We are excited to be open on this side of town and to serve a wider portion of Rapid City.”
As a promotion, Dunn Brothers offered the first 50 customers in line Tuesday morning a free Yeti tumbler and free drip coffee for a year. O’Connor said that patrons started lining up at 3 a.m. When the store’s opening crew showed up at 5:30 a.m. there was already a line around the store. The store doors opened at 6 a.m. and within 10 minutes, all of the tumblers had been claimed.
The location has inside seating as well as a drive-through. Dunn Brothers is open Monday through Saturday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 7 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The new location is looking to add to its team as they have signs posted outside advertising that they are hiring.
